What EHR System does Neximatic support?

Neximatic is designed as a vendor-neutral platform and can support any EHR systems. Currently, we work actively with Epic, SIS, HST Pathways, Provation, Medaxion, Graphium, Mednet, Anescan (Full List). Neximatic is engineered for easy data transformation – from medical devices to any unique EHR data model and integration architecture. Our design makes it simple and easy to work with any EHR system.

How long does Neximatic take to deploy?

How long does Installation take?

Installation can take as little as a few minutes for PACU, Pre-Op Bay or OR.

What are the network requirements?

The only network requirement is access to the internet. Each Neximatic box only needs about 10 KB/min outbound bandwidth.

Do I need to install a local server or VM?

We do not require a local server or VM. The Neximatic boxes communicate directly with our cloud servers.

Is WiFi supported?

Yes, we support both Ethernet and WiFi. We can connect to2.4GHz, and 5GHz networks with WPA2 PSK or Enterprise security.

What patient information is stored or transmitted through Neximatic?

There is no PHI that is stored or transmitted by Neximatic. All vital signs data transmission to EHR system is outbound only.

How does Neximatic automate vital signs logging from medical devices to EHR?

Neximatic’s design and patent pending approach removes the friction from the many physical hardware and differing software / integration steps separating medical devices and your patients’ medical records.

Neximatic’s custom designed cables neutralize the difficulty in physically connecting medical devices so that the data can be streamed. The small footprint, compact Neximatic medical appliance located in the OR, Pre-Op Bay or PACU location, takes all the data from over 200 different medical devices, streams it into the Neximatic cloud service where it is normalized and transformed into the desirable format of the EHR system in play. Neximatic modular design makes the job of creating new medical device drivers easy. Once a driver is in place, we can speak the language of the medical device.

On the other side, we leverage HL7 type communication (with flexibility to adjust as needed) to communicate the normalized, transformed vitals sign data to the EHR provider. We do so in near real time (iIntervals which are configurable) and we do so without the need to touch PHI.

How does deployment process look like?

Deployment is simple and seamless.

Step 1: Customer to complete the site survey to provide information about medical devices and network requirements.

Step 2: Neximatic configures all the Neximatic units and ships out along with required cables and easy instructions.

Step 3: Customer can simply plug in the Neximatic unit to start auto-logging. Actual installation can take just minutes.

How easy is it for me to add new medical devices when I am using Neximatic?

It’s easy. First, check if your device is already supported by Neximatic (See list here). If not, we will develop the driver required to add your device to the list. Typically, it will take 2 weeks if your device is already on our list (standard support lead time, but it usually happens much faster), or a few weeks if it’s a new addition.
